Duke Energy seeks to hasten decommissioning for Florida’s Crystal River nuclear plant – Charlotte Business Journal
Duke Energy Florida proposes to accelerate the decommissioning of its shuttered Crystal River nuclear plant, completing the work in 2027 instead of 2074, as originally announced. The new plan is subject to approval by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission and the Florida Public Service Commission.
