No more hearings on nuclear waste storage site near Carlsbad, project proceeding
Opponents of a nuclear waste storage facility near Carlsbad and Hobbs were denied another hearing by the federal Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) after its Atomic Safety and Licensing Board deemed the contentions unsubstantial to be admitted to the licensing proceedings.
