Three Mile Island closure would take nuclear plant offline in fall; shutdown costs estimated at $1.25 billion
Three Mile Island nuclear power station’s owner has filed a decommissioning plan with the federal Nuclear Regulatory Commission that serves as sort of an owner’s guide to closing the Unit 1 nuclear reactor, should Exelon Corp. actually decides to pull the plug this fall.
