Union leader’s jobs warning as nuclear plant closes down
A leading trade union has warned that the Scottish government’s opposition to nuclear energy is costing jobs and investment, and called for funding to support a new generation of small reactors. The warning from GMB leader Gary Smith comes amid confirmation that Scotland’s nuclear power generation will come to an end within seven years.
